Some blogs have speculated that Starbucks is going to give out free Venti drinks, highly unlikely. However, Howard Shultz released a statement the twelfth in his Transformation Agenda Communications stating that “Next week we will experience one of the most significant moments in the history of our company.”
Starbucks is planning to roll out the coffee which was talked about at the shareholder’s meeting, Pike Place Roast. This coffee will be brewed everyday, all day, all year round at smaller brewed coffee batches with no more than 30-minute hold times. Which I think would make this coffee fresher, and hotter. Howard Shultz puts it this way, “Pike Place Roast is truly one of the best coffees we have offered our customers in our 37-year history and it will reinvent brewed coffee…The proof of its excellence is not in my words, marketing or hype … the proof is in the cup.”
Though, I don’t think that just releasing a new type of coffee is everything Starbucks is planning to do next week, the statement cited there will be “major coast-to-coast celebrations beginning in
